They form a band called Mighty Joe Young, with Robert DeLeo on bass, his brother Dean DeLeo on guitar, and Eric Kretz on drums. Scott Weiland met Robert DeLeo in 1987 at a Black Flag punk band concert in Long Beach, California. The group formalizes in November 2017 the arrival of Jeff Gutt singing.
